Moving day(s)
October 29, 2013
We got keys to our new house this morning and spent most of the day packing and hauling our junk over there with the help of family.
We also took a break to stand in a circle – holding hands – to pray a blessing over the home and our lives there, because we are wackos. It was a beautiful moment and it left me struck at how very blessed we are.
I can’t wait to start chronicling some of my DIY adventures in making this house a home.
In the meantime, however, I’d love to share some pictures of our empty house and boxes of our crap!

One of my favorite parts about the house – original 1927 sconces that give the living room warm, romantic lighting.
- Relaxing after a long day of moving.
We are exhausted, happy, grateful and at peace.
Carleee – It’s beautiful. I am so happy for you and can’t wait to come and visit!! Me and Olivia want to come as soon as you get settled. <3
What a beautiful house! It looks like the perfect Carly house-stylish and with lots of character 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Oh my goodness! Those pictures are gorgeous. Nothing is better than an old house with character. Our house is over 100 years old, but all of the character has been stripped away over the years. Hopefully unpacking goes ok and it’s a smooth transition for your little one!
Wow! What a gorgeous house you found. I love all the charm and character. We bought new construction, so I looked on Etsy for some vintage pieces to incorporate because they just have such a homey feel. Can’t wait for the DIY projects you’re going to post. Who doesn’t love some good DIY?
